This item is flat packed when post, please iron under warm and low temperature to ease the crease. Sometimes it can have a weird smell if it was freshly dyed. It can be washed by hand in water and a very small amount of detergent. Regular detergent is fine but a mild soap (or shampoo) is much better for the fabric, sprinkling 1/4 cup baking soda and 5 drops of essential oil over the petticoat to absorb the odor. Leave it overnight. The next day, rinse the petticoat without squeezing it, hang it to dry outside if possible.
